I am the IT projects Officer for Northern Sydney Central Coast Area Health Service, and I oversee IT infrastructure at the Royal North Shore Hospital, amongst other sites. During 2010, we engaged the services of Red Dog Group, following the recommendation of Thiess Services who maintain the hospital. We engaged Red Dog to carry out electrical and communications installations to implement the new patient tracking system that was to be rolled out. The scope of works included new dedicated power for patient tracking computers, monitors and viewing screens. The scope also included Category 6 data cable to be run throughout the Douglas building across 6 levels including the Emergency Department, and assisting in setting up the wireless mesh network required for the patient tracking system.

I found the team from Red Dog to be incredibly professional and reliable in delivering the project across the entire Douglas Building. The team were seamless in the completion of works which included integrating the new network into existing data cabinets located in communications rooms on each floor. The network documentation was presented at the completion of the job which included all network topology and verified data cable reports for each data outlet.

I would be more than happy to recommend Red Dog Group to anyone looking to engage a team of competent and proactive electrical & communications contractors. During the project, the team were acutely aware of the environment they were working, and constantly communicated with the nurses and staff as to which areas they were to avoid to allow for privacy and/or hygiene reasons.
